A few months back,my pro shop operator told me to wait for a new ball from storm that is gonna be a blast from the specifications that he got and he told me the name “codeblack” and I jokingly asked him “what kind of a ball is that with such a mysterious name?

Two months back, he came calling and asked me “when are you coming down to drill the codeblack?”

I was like “HUH?you mean there really is a ball by that name?”

And I told him “ok I will drill it when I got time to go down to the shop”

And before I went down to drill the ball, whenever I have friends going down to the proshop he will ask them to call me and ask me “Walter ask you when you wanna drill the codeblack?”

So what is so good about the ball that he keeps on wanting me to do and drill it?

So I went down and have it drilled up.

As usual I went for my 75 x 5x 40 lay out, kept it oob

I wasn’t a fan of the RAD core by Storm, let’s just face it, even though I am a Storm/Rotogrip fan and have everything from storm from balls to drying powder to tape to wrist support to shoes to cleaning solution to even jerseys but that doesn’t mean I like every ball that they released, so when I saw the RAD core on the ball, I was also quite skeptical but since my ball driller is telling me that I won’t regret buying this ball, so I gave it a try.

That night I went to play a 40ft thick oil league and boy that was the ball I was not willing to let go off until the last game.

This ball was really a monster from freshly oiled lanes to even cutting through carry down, yes, that might be a few occasions that I hit the carry down and the ball skidded a while before making a turn into the pocket, but it was one of the few that really has the continuous motion even after hitting carry down.

Not to mention that this ball was specifically allowed by the PBA to be used on the 2013 WSOB, Storm really has a winner in this ball.
